LandSolutions has been working on solutions to continue our clients’ Field Acquisition projects while continuing to abide by the COVID-19 isolation and self-distancing regulations from AHS, the Government of Canada as well as Public Health Agencies.
In addition to our strict COVID-19 safety protocols and procedures, which all our employees and consultants have been following since March 13th, LandSolutions is also set up to provide our clients with an Online Land Agreement execution process called DocuSign.
What is DocuSign?
DocuSign is an electronic management system that allows Land Agents or Land Analysts to email documents to Landowners to review and execute without requiring Witness signatures or Affidavits. Instruments can also be registered on title if required.
Most agreements can be registered with Land Titles with the exception of URW’s (Utility Right of Way). To work around this issue, LandSolutions will register ROW agreements as Caveats. When access to the field has been reinstated, a Right of Way Agreement will be signed in person and will then be registered on title as a URW and replace the Caveat that was previously registered, ensuring agreements do not lose their standing on title. This will be a great tool for acquiring Surface Leases, Temporary Workspace and Damage files in the interim.
DocuSign allows for business to continue and projects to move forward while eliminating the risk for all Stakeholders and field staff.
By using LandSolutions’ DocuSign account, your company would benefit from LandSolutions’ economies of scale pricing and have access to our fully trained DocuSign team, which is currently utilizing DocuSign for several clients to meet their project needs.
